Edge Early Learning is a Queensland-based childcare provider and property developer operating under a Build-Own-Operate model. With a focus on quality education and long-term asset ownership, Edge delivers turnkey early learning centres throughout Queensland. As the business continued to grow, it became clear that relying on third-party builder systems limited visibility, scalability, and internal process control. The Challenge

Edge Early Learning had been relying on their construction partner’s Procore account, which gave them limited oversight and no real ability to customise workflows or reports. Internally, delivery processes were managed through a mix of Word and Excel documents, which were time-consuming to maintain and prone to duplication or inconsistency.

Compounding the issue, Procore’s standard financial configurations did not support Edge’s funding model, which required a more nuanced structure for tracking and approvals. The Solution

Knight Solutions led a full Procore Reboot focused on aligning the platform with Edge’s unique delivery and funding needs. They began by conducting functional mapping across all departments to understand how project data was being used, shared, and tracked. From there, Knight reconfigured Procore Financials to support Edge’s funding structure and internal approval pathways.

To standardise delivery processes, Knight digitised recurring workflows using Procore’s Inspections and Action Plans modules. They also created a tailored Procore Handbook and facilitated platform protocols to reduce duplication and ensure consistent usage across teams and projects.

By bringing Procore in-house and building clarity into every touchpoint, Knight gave Edge full control of the system—backed by structures that could scale with their national growth ambitions.
