Based in Perth, Mooro Construction is a progressive general contractor with a strong focus on sustainability, design collaboration, and high-performance building delivery. Their project teams are known for pushing boundaries—both in terms of innovation and in the complexity of their construction programs. Before engaging Knight Solutions, Mooro Construction was managing its projects through a range of disconnected systems. Financial tracking, scheduling, documentation, and reporting were spread across multiple platforms—making it difficult to maintain data integrity or scale effectively. Procore had been identified as the right solution, but Mooro’s Cost Plus model wasn’t supported by Procore’s native contract structures. This limited their ability to extract the reporting insights they needed.
Adding another layer of complexity was the board's requirement for high-level project visibility without needing to navigate the intricacies of construction software. Without a purpose-built framework for governance, there was a risk of limited engagement and reduced trust in project data.
The Solution
Knight Solutions approached the rollout with a discovery-led methodology, conducting a comprehensive alignment review to map out Mooro’s key project workflows, reporting requirements, and stakeholder needs.
From there, Knight reconfigured Procore’s financial modules to support Cost Plus arrangements—building custom budget views and reports that aligned with Mooro’s financial structure and compliance obligations. A governance framework and permissions model was created specifically for board-level users, ensuring they had access to high-level summaries and insights without exposure to irrelevant or overwhelming detail.
Knight also led training across both project teams and executive stakeholders, and developed a tailored Procore Handbook to ensure consistency in usage. The implementation was designed not only to address current gaps, but to support scalable project delivery as Mooro continues to grow.

Mooro Construction now operates on a unified platform purpose-built for their operational style and commercial structure. The team no longer relies on fragmented tools—Procore now handles project financials, documentation, quality and safety, and stakeholder collaboration in one integrated space.
